Scunthorpe boss Graham Alexander leads the way for the League one manager of the month award for January.
A difficult December turned into an entertaining January as four unbeaten games yielded a 10-point haul for United as they kept a firm hold on one of the automatic promotion places.
The other contenders are Paul Hurst at Shrewsbury Town, MK Dons boss Robbie Neilson and Fleetwood's Uwe Rosler
The lowly Shrews moved out of the relegation zone after taking eight points form five games with only three goals conceded.
Nielsen's Dons gained seven points from three games while Rosler oversaw arguably the result of the month, a 2-0 victory at promotion rivals Sheffield United as his team harvested 13 points from five games.
Fleetwood defender Cian Bolger has been recognised for his contribution to Town's fine month with a nomination for the player of the month, where he will be competing with Bradford City's Mark Marshall, Bury's prolific James Vaughan and Scunthorpe winger Josh Morris, who has won the accolade twice already this season.
